NJC, the cleaning and support services company, has announced that it has been awarded a gold EcoVadis medal for sustainability achievement. This is NJC’s second gold award in successive years, and follows a recent assessment.
EcoVadis provides a leading solution for monitoring sustainability in supply chains. Using innovative technology and sustainability expertise, the organisation helps companies adopt sustainable practices using a common platform, universal scorecard, benchmarks, and performance improvement tools. Assessments cover the four areas of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
The gold award recognises NJC in the top 5% of companies that EcoVadis has assessed worldwide, and in the top 3% of companies in the cleaning industry. NJC also achieved improved scores compared to its first assessment.
Paul Crilly, managing director, said: “NJC’s responsibility to our people, the planet and the communities we serve is our top priority and we are committed to an enhanced environmental sustainability strategy, reaching Net Zero by 2030. We are proud to have once again been awarded a gold medal in our independent EcoVadis assessment and aim to continue to improve our performance.”
